Under the general direction of the Associate Director, AMS/SAP, this AMS/SAP Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading EASI technology projects from conceptual analysis through to implementation and project close phases; tracking resources and project budgets; providing strong project management expertise to a variety of systems and process projects focusing on streamlining and improving efficiency and effectiveness of the HRIS and HR related systems as well as working to leverage technology in a manner that enhances business processes; leading the development, analysis, and selection of implementation partners via the RFP process, identification and coordination of project resources, consultation with stakeholders, communications, systems specification development, arranging for systems training, developing resources to track future system changes for all impacted stakeholders within Central HR and produce a variety of support documentation.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned project manager to lead one of the University’s most significant HR technology transformation initiatives: modernizing our SAP Human Capital Management platform by implementing the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Onboarding modules. The Senior Project Manager will oversee several interconnected workstreams, driving the core Employee Central implementation while coordinating supporting activities such as data migration, integration, testing, and data replication. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in delivering complex enterprise HR solutions, ideally within higher education or similarly complex environments. The Senior Project Manager will complement their project management role by carrying out business analysis work to support the project’s workstreams when required. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively across diverse teams, lead meaningful change that will shape the University’s HR landscape for years to come, and contribute to a high-impact project that blends challenge, innovation, and professional growth.
In addition to leading the project, the incumbent will play a vital role in supporting the AMS/SAP Management Team across a range of strategic initiatives associated with the HR technology portfolio. This includes conducting research, performing analytical and design work, preparing background materials and special reports, and evaluating data and statistics to inform planning and decision-making. The Senior Project Manager will provide strategic advice on long-term planning and project management, participate in University-wide committees and initiatives, and deliver presentations as required, contributing to a cohesive, forward-looking HR technology strategy for the institution.
Ability to work in a multi-faceted matrix environment managing competing priorities from multiple groups. Ability to manage up and across the organization to ensure milestones are met and issues escalated appropriately.
