Job summary

A medical device company in Vancouver seeks a Sales Representative to drive sales of their Neurosurgical, ENT, and IVS product lines. You will train medical personnel, solve product issues, and ensure product evaluations are conducted. Candidates should possess a university degree and have at least 2 years of sales experience. This position requires travel to support the territory.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years outside sales or clinical experience is required.
  • Preferred: Degree in business or health-related discipline.

What you will do

As a Sales Representative, you will plan, direct, and coordinate the selling of Stryker products (specifically Stryker's Neurosurgical, ENT & IVS portfolios) to physicians in accordance with budgeted objectives and to obtain maximum profitability and volume in relation to pre-set standards. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Instruments sales team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.

Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for the promotion and sale of Stryker’s Neurosurgical, ENT & IVS products as assigned by sales manager

  • Educates and informs doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel as to the proper use and maintenance of Stryker Interventional Spine products

  • Directs product evaluations in operating rooms, hospitals, and office settings

  • May assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings

  • Assist in Request for Proposal(RFP) related activities and contract negotiation

  • Solves product problems for customers in an expeditious fashion

  • May assist in the training and development of associate sales personnel

  • Has authority to recommend and initiate preventative and correction action with regard to product non-conformances and quality system activities

What you need

Required:

  • University Degree

  • 2+ years outside sales or clinical experience

Preferred:

  • Degree in business with an emphasis in marketing OR a degree in a health-related discipline, science, or kinesiology

  • 2+ years in Medical Device Sales

Additional Information
  • Must be able to travel (ground and air) to support territory responsibilities as well as company-related duties and obligations

  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
