Overview

West Fraser Electro Mechanical operates out of a 29,000-square-foot facility in Prince George, BC, and is a trusted partner to the mining, pulp & paper, forestry, municipal, and transportation sectors across Western Canada. We specialize in the precision repair, rebuild, and manufacture of electric motors and replated components, with a reputation for quality, speed, and reliability. Our people are at the heart of what we do, committed to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead our Motor Marketing & Sales Department and drive growth, ownership, and accountability across sales and service delivery.

Position Summary: You will oversee inside and outside sales, pricing strategy, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations. You will develop and execute our go-to-market strategy, coach a high-performing team, and ensure fast, accurate, and high-quality service for customers. You will gather customer insights to shape future offerings and service improvements, and track KPIs to keep the team aligned.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Leading with vision - Shape and execute the go-to-market strategy with the General Manager and Marketing Manager, including pricing, product mix, customer segments, and promotions.
  • Driving sales performance - Build tailored sales plans for each Account Manager and oversee execution to meet or exceed goals.
  • Owning the numbers - Track KPIs and performance metrics and use them to keep the team focused and effective.
  • Quoting and closing - Lead proposal development for large or strategic projects and standardize quote processes for speed and consistency.
  • Coaching a winning team - Inspire, develop, and support inside and outside sales through mentorship, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Being the customer’s voice - Gather and respond to feedback, lead root cause reviews, and implement meaningful improvements.
  • Streamlining operations - Manage pricing tools, CRM usage, ITO workflows, and daily sales operations for fast, accurate service.
  • Growing the business - Pursue new markets and accounts, build relationships, and identify opportunities for new or expanded services.
  • Collaborating across departments - Work with leadership and support teams on reporting, budgeting, inventory, vendor relationships, and quality assurance.
What You Will Bring
  • A proven track record in sales leadership—preferably in industrial services, manufacturing, or a technical B2B environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills aligned to broader business goals
