Enza Zaden is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our dynamic commercial team in Canada.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, and optimizing the performance of our product portfolio in Eastern Canada. You will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and ensuring customer satisfaction.

As a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the agribusiness industry, you thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering value to customers. You excel at building strong relationships across all levels of the organization and are driven by results.

In this role, you will lead a team by setting clear annual goals for each direct report, providing regular follow-ups, and offering coaching to help them reach their full potential.

You stay informed on market trends, product developments, pricing strategies, sales performance, distribution channels, marketing initiatives, and competitive dynamics. You are skilled at connecting with internal stakeholders and fostering collaboration across departments.

You will manage key accounts directly or indirectly and oversee the performance of support departments, ensuring alignment with global policies and strategic objectives.

This position reports directly to the Subsidiary Sales Manager in Canada and is a key member of the Sales Management Team.

You have strong skills in planning and organization, influencing / persuading and management. You can work independently but you are also able to work in cross-functional teams and intercultural project teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably in agribusiness or horticulture.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage key accounts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Canada and internationally.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet eligibility requirements to be added to the company’s vehicle insurance plan.
