Overview

Sales Director, Group Benefits (Southwest Ontario). Lead a high performing team of Account Executives focused on growing our large group benefits business.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with your Account Executive on day-to-day concerns including handling escalated issues
  • Relationship management with business partners both internally and externally
  • Collaborate with regional service counterparts to ensure customer needs are exceeded
  • Achieve business objectives and execute quarterly regional business plans as rolled out by the Regional Vice President
  • Provide leadership and coaching to your sales team to drive performance and achieve business objectives
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with advisors and customers to achieve annual sales, persistency, and other targets
  • Manage the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentation to implementation
  • Collaborate with advisors, customers, and client relationship staff for customer satisfaction through new business implementation and ongoing account management
  • Promote additional products and services with advisors, customers, and regional service counterparts to enhance client retention
  • Maintain a small caseload of large or complex clients as necessary to support their unique sales needs
  • Collaborate with head office partners for various initiatives
What You Will Bring (Qualifications)
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Group Insurance business, ideally small non refund
  • Post secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent relationship management and business development skills
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Understand the business environment and advisor / customer needs to create competitive advantage
  • Strong understanding of the funding options available in the group benefits space
  • Create alignment on opportunities to drive sales results and ensure retention of clients
  • Work to ensure resources are deployed effectively to meet customer needs, and balance workload peaks and valleys
  • Build partnerships to seek cross-selling opportunities with advisors and customers
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services by sharing ideas with regional leaders and head office
  • Foster an environment open to the perspectives and ideas of others
  • Highly effective sales skills and business knowledge as part of our culture
  • Regular measurement against aggressive and multi-faceted KPI’s
  • Anticipate future consequences and trends and act on strategic opportunities

Compensation

The base salary for this position is between $97,200 - $162,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation components (e.g., annual bonus, commission). If you are selected to move forward, the recruiter will discuss additional details of our total rewards program.
