Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a dedicated, motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable individual to join our team as a Risk Management Assistant in the Saint John area. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of healthcare systems and demonstrate experience in problem-solving, prioritizing, time-management and planning.

Who You Are
  • You have worked in a healthcare setting for a minimum of 3 years. You have a university degree in a related discipline or successful completion of a healthcare Risk Management course.
  • You are able to work both independently and in a complex team environment and collaborate with a wide range of healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  • You have a working knowledge of healthcare systems.
  • You have a demonstrated proficiency in computer skills of Microsoft applications.
What You Will Do
  • As the Risk Management Assistant you will provide assistance to the Risk Management Consultant in the following areas:
  • Gathers information with respect to the claims management process;
  • Reviews and analyzes incident report data and identifies risk management issues in the area;
  • Shares in the development of risk management related projects, education, training and awareness;
  • Investigates and assists in the development of factual reports as required;
  • As the Risk Management Assistant you will provide coverage for the Medical Alerts & Recall Coordinator, when required, as defined in training provided.
