Overview

The Role

We are looking for a Contract Industrial Safety Trainer to join our team in the Saint John or Moncton area to grow and deliver Hercules approved industrial safety training programs throughout New Brunswick.

Responsibilities

The Industrial Safety Trainer will be responsible to facilitate training programs for both external and internal customers. Training programs include Rigging, Overhead Crane, Working at Heights, Forklift Operator, Elevated Work Platform, and Confined Space Entry.

Accountabilities

• Prepare and deliver professional training programs
• Manage the effectiveness of training practices (scheduling, management of training aids and equipment etc.)
• Promote the consistent application of operational standards
• Deliver training programs to the Hercules standards to clients

Required knowledge and training

• Post secondary education – in health and safety or other related field or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years experience in an adult training / learning role
• Prior operating overhead crane and rigging experience is considered like an asset
• Strong communication skills written and spoken
• French considered a strong asset
• Comfortable training over multiple platforms including in person and virtual
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on PPT Strong communication skills written and spoken English
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
