Position Summary

Tacten is seeking a professional, energetic, and forward-thinking Rope Access Journeyperson Electrician to support operations at our newest site in Kitimat, BC. LNG Canada is nearing completion of Canada's first LNG export facility, and Tacten has been awarded the maintenance contract for this site, scheduled to start mid-2024.

  • Position based in Kitimat BC
  • Immediate start date
  • 40 hrs/week, with possible overtime
  • Rate up to $49.00/hr depending on certifications
  • Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Kitimat
Responsibilities

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the project's startup success by implementing innovative techniques, fostering collaboration, and advancing operations.

Working at heights, responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and maintaining electrical systems
  • Installing and connecting electrical components like motors, transformers, and control panels
  • Identifying issues, replacing faulty components, and ensuring safe, efficient machinery operation
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Requirements
  • Journeyman Electrician Trade certification
  • IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification, or willingness to obtain training (training assistance available)
  • Experience with cable pulling, splicing, troubleshooting, heat trace
  • V deck training is an asset
  • Proxy switch and LEL sensory experience preferred
  • Current safety certifications as required by client and BC standards
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Kitimat BC
