A specialized turbine service provider in Alberta is seeking a Robot Programmer / Operator responsible for programming and operating FANUC robots used in gas turbine component repair. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with gas turbine overhaul, robotics, and various maintenance operations. They must also possess excellent interpersonal skills to train technicians and work collaboratively across departments. This position includes shift work and a comprehensive benefits package.
TransCanada Turbines (TCT) is the sole authorized overhaul, repair and maintenance service provider for Siemens Energy and General Electric (GE) aeroderivative industrial gas turbines, serving an expanding international client base.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Component Repair, the Robot Programmer / Operator is responsible for programming and operating FANUC robots used for repair of gas turbine components. Specifically, these robots are used for thermal spraying, shotpeening, waterjet stripping and NDT inspection.
The duties and requirements will include, but not be limited to, the following:
This position will require the candidate to work on a shift rotation including day shift and evening shift.
Candidates with industry and job experience such as gas turbine overhaul and experience operating FANUC robotics equipment are preferred for this role. Experience with robotics used for thermal spraying, shotpeening, waterjet stripping and NDT inspection is ideal.
The minimum training and/or educational requirement for this role is 5 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience that allows the individual to adequately perform the role, determined by the Team Lead, Component Repair.
