Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Southwestern Ontario is seeking a Rework Operator to assist with operational performance and ensure food safety. The role includes assisting machine operators, performing quality inspections, and maintaining cleanliness. Candidates should possess a high school diploma and have the ability to lift up to 55lbs and work in heat. This position offers an hourly rate of $24.648 and follows a second shift schedule from Monday to Friday.

Overview

Vacancy Status: Active vacancy (currently recruiting).

The Rework Operator is accountable for assisting the Operators/Attendants with operational performance from raw materials to liquid and from liquid to molded and packaged product. The Rework Operator ensures food and employee safety in their daily routine.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Machine Operators/Attendants set up room for production and with other duties as assigned.

  • Assist Sanitation in the cleanliness of production equipment and the plant.

  • Performs equipment quality inspections daily.

  • Completes all required safety checklists on a daily basis.

  • Enters ingredients used into SAP and produces tags in SAP for production.

  • Communicates production information to incoming Shift Supervisor and regularly with others on crew.

  • Maintains housekeeping in work area.

  • Works safely at all times following established procedures.

  • Wearing PPE and using proper safety equipment.

  • Ensures compliance with all food and employee safety policies and procedures.

About you
  • High school diploma or equivalency.

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.

  • Must be able to freely move around the entire facility.

  • Must be able to lift 55lbs.

  • Ability to work in and be exposed to heat.

  • Must be able to climb stairs.

Compensation

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $24.648
Hours of Work:Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am
