We are looking for a highly motivated individual who shows strong abilities in multitasking, organization and time management to join the Retail Team Lead role at Freedom Mobile.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store per Operating Policies, maintaining keys to the Store, and accountable for ensuring the Store and Company assets are properly safeguarded and secured.
- Communicate sales performance results with the Team and provide clear action plans to drive sales.
- Assist in providing on-the-job training for new hires and the continued training and development of team members by providing on-the-floor peer mentor / observations as needed.
- Meet personal targets while driving peers to achieve store goals through effective mentoring and training.
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts as directed by the Store Manager, which may include Inventory Management (RMAs, Shipping, Receiving), Banking (Cash Management, Daily Deposits), Merchandising, etc.
- Sell merchandise and process payments by totaling purchases and processing cash, debit, or credit card payments appropriately and ensure accurate cash management practices are followed by Retail Specialists on shift.
- Regularly update team members on sales progress and initiatives.
- Lead by example in ensuring that all standard operating policies, processes, and procedures are followed in the absence of the Store Manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of progressive Retail Sales experience.
- Previous experience in the wireless industry is an asset.
- A positive demeanor and a commitment to improvement that leads to outstanding customer experiences.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.

- The position is a unionized role, and the starting salary stipulated in the collective agreement is $18.01 per hour plus commissions.
