About The Role

EKRH has a relief, part‑time Respiratory Therapist opening (0.79 FTE) in Cranbrook, B.C., working rotating days of work 07:00 to 19:15 and/or 19:00 to 07:15. On call and HART transports are a requirement of this position. This position is to provide coverage until December 2026, or return of incumbent.

As a Respiratory Therapist At EKRH, You Will
  • Provide respiratory care for clients with acute and chronic cardio‑respiratory conditions
  • Perform airway management, ventilator setup and monitoring, and advanced therapeutic interventions
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood sampling
  • Participate in High Acuity Response Team (HART) transports, code blue responses, trauma cases, and high‑risk deliveries
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in ICU rounds and care planning
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and professional practice development
