An established industry player in child and youth services is seeking a dedicated House Manager to lead a residential home for children aged 6-12. This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate the challenges of managing a childcare environment while ensuring the highest standards of care and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human services, excellent supervisory skills, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children. At OIB Child and Youth Services we believe that all children and youth should have the opportunity to live in a safe and nurturing environment. We provide all-inclusive care in a residential setting to children ranging in age from 6-12 years old. Staff at OIB provide a high level of care and support impacting the development and well-being of the youth in our homes.
Role Overview:
Under the direction of the Executive Director of OIB, the House Manager oversees the operation of one of our residential homes and assigned staff. Our House Manager provides direction and supervision to staff, maintaining consistent standards to ensure services and related programs align with OIB policies and procedures.
The House Manager must collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves working directly with residents in their day-to-day activities and supporting the creation of individual care plans tailored to each child's specific needs.
The ideal candidate brings years of managerial or supervisory experience, adaptability, a proactive approach, and a strong sense of ownership, motivated by the challenge of navigating the unpredictable nature of managing an around-the-clock childcare home.

Education, Training and Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Human Services i.e. Community, Family and Child Services, Mental Health, Early Childhood Education or equivalent combination of education, training and experience with a combination of Leadership and Management experience.
