The Opportunity

The Resident Care Attendant is responsible to the Executive Director or the Director of Care. They ensure and support the implementation and evaluation of the resident care services in accordance with applicable provincial standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that the highest standard of resident care is delivered and maintained at all times.

What you’ll do:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living and deliver personal care services in a manner that promotes choice, involvement and participation to the greatest degree possible
  • Assist delivery of meals, housekeeping, laundry and therapeutic recreation programs
  • Be resident-centered in your approach and model our values in all your interactions with the public, team members, residents, and their families
  • Participate in the delivery of social, recreational and therapeutic programs including group activities, outings, and special events.
What you’ll need:
  • Graduate of Health Care Assistant program from a college recognized by the Post-Secondary Education Commission.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrates genuine interest and concern for the well-being of seniors.
  • Registered with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry.
