Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $51,236 - $60,277 per annum. A furnished on-campus apartment, parking and meal plan will be provided.

We are seeking a Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) who will help create and promote an inclusive Residence Life program that supports academic success, personal development and the overall health and wellness of students living in residence. Residence Life Coordinators play a vital role in student development at Acadia. They foster a safe, welcoming and supportive residence environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion while ensuring opportunities for academic success and personal growth. RLCs also contribute to broader university recruitment and retention efforts.

This is a live-in position. The successful candidate will reside in a furnished on-campus apartment within residence and will participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Parking and a meal plan are included.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree combined with relevant work experience.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion with knowledge of and lived experience related to the needs of equity-deserving students, particularly those of African descent, Indigenous students and students of color.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to address concerns and situations professionally and diplomatically.
  • A demonstrated interest in the academic and personal growth of students, knowledge of student development principles and an understanding of health, wellness, risk and risk reduction through education and programming.
  • The ability to train and supervise staff teams primarily composed of young adults and experience supporting individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • A readiness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation including evenings, weekends and holidays while students are in residence.
