Position Details

This is a French Immersion position. CEC: West. Qualification: Candidates must have French qualifications and meet the Board\'s language standard for French Immersion.

Responsibilities

The posting describes requirements for recruitment and employment processes and references, including:.

• External applicants: provide at least three professional, supervisory teaching references; internal applicants: include all previous teaching experiences and two references (one must be a YRDSB administrator).

Qualifications and Requirements

• Candidates must be members in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified with OCT; must be enrolled or have completed their French as a Second Language (FSL) or equivalent based on OCT qualifications.
• Must meet the Board\'s language standard for French Immersion.
• Police record check: a satisfactory PVSC must be completed prior to the start date, at the candidate\'s expense, and provided to the Board when requested.

Examples Of Referees

• Principal/Vice Principal who supervised you and can speak to your teaching practice in the applying panel.
• Faculty Advisor/Coordinator or Practicum Advisor who observed your teaching practice.
• Host/Mentor Teacher who supervised you in elementary/secondary settings; or a professional reference who can speak to your teaching practice.
