This fully remote position involves developing certification plans and guiding teams in best practices for safety-critical systems. Candidates should have a strong background in software development with at least 7 years of experience, including 5 years in safety-critical environments. Competitive pay of $70.00 – $90.00/hr is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in software development, with at least 5 years focused on safety-critical systems.
• Knowledge of tool qualification (DO-330).
• Experience with Device Drivers, BSP's, RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Review life-cycle artifacts including HLRs, LLRs, and software architecture documents.
• Develop and manage certification plans ensuring compliance with DO-178C.
• Communicate certification objectives and requirements effectively with cross-functional teams.

Skills

Experience with DO-178C (DAL A preferred)

Strong command of C programming language

Experience with embedded systems

Education

Bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
