The Office of the Registrar at U of T Mississauga delivers registrarial services to support U of T Mississauga's academic goals and U of T priorities in the areas of student information, interpretation of policies, and innovation of registrarial interactions. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Registrarial Services, the Registrarial Services Representative is the first point of contact in the Office of the Registrar and provides proactive, customer-friendly, quality service in a complex environment reflecting a diverse population. Having a thorough knowledge of U of T and U of T Mississauga rules and regulations, the Representative interprets academic guidelines and procedures, and provides guidance and information on undergraduate university regulations, policies and requirements to undergraduate students, staff, faculty and visitors.
The Registrarial Services Representative is responsible for assisting undergraduate students with registration and enrolment processes; investigates and resolves student registration, enrolment and fee issues that arise, recommends and implements solutions or alternative approaches to solving problems, and introduces new policies and procedures. Working in a team environment, the Representative reviews all incoming requests and checks documents for completeness, accuracy and that requirements are met, informing applicants about format, content and deadlines.
The Registrarial Services Representative assesses student needs, referring to academic and financial advising by scheduling appropriate appointments or recommending group or other informational sessions. The Representative contributes to the enhancement of quality of services, streamlining policies and procedures, and recommends changes and implementation of new strategies, as appropriate.
