Our Clinic nurses provide care in VON community clinics. Our clinics offer client assessments, wound care, IV medications, client and family education, and more.

Job Summary:

Provide advanced foot care to clients by applying the nursing process within the framework of Quality Management, adhering to CNO guidelines and VON policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide advanced, basic, and diabetic foot care in clinics and in-home settings within the Greater Kingston area.
Qualifications:
  • Current registration with CNO - RPN
  • Completion of the Basic & Advanced Foot Care Course - Certificate
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Demonstrated skill in client assessment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to provide goal-oriented care using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset in French-designated areas
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with current insurance
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check required upon employment start
  • Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
  • Must be able to wear PPE
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This role requires attention to detail in a dynamic environment, involving physical activities such as lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements emphasizing good body mechanics. The role involves walking, sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and fine hand movements throughout the day.
