Overview

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the New Nechako Centre. Under the direction and supervision of the Team Leader of the Youth Treatment Center, as part of the multidisciplinary team, the Staff Nurse works with persons admitted to the Youth Treatment Center. Through assessment and monitoring of each client, the nurse develops a plan of personal care and intervention to assist the client in managing the medical and emotional symptoms of substance abuse withdrawal and mental health issues. Thereby the client can return to the community and connect with appropriate follow up services.

Responsibilities

As part of the Youth Treatment Center team, provide nursing care under the supervision of the Team Leader within a multidisciplinary setting. Assess and monitor clients and develop plans of personal care and intervention to manage medical and emotional symptoms of substance abuse withdrawal and mental health issues. Support clients to connect with appropriate follow up services after discharge.
