About The Job
  • Functions as a member of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) or Tertiary Mental Health Services multi‑disciplinary care team
  • Ensures that persons with serious severe and persistent mental health problems, and/or problematic substance use and/or developmental disability issues who may or may not be in crisis have access to timely, responsive, evidence‑based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services
  • Provides assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and as required, urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life
  • Functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families

We are looking for a self‑directed, motivated, reliable and flexible mental health‑trained nurse (RN/RPN) who enjoys working in a team environment and has a strong desire to learn. If you are experienced in Mental Health or Substance Use, we want to hear from you!

This is a Permanent Full Time opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

About this Location

Braemore Lodge is a 16‑bed licensed facility providing psychosocial rehabilitation for persons with a serious and persistent mental illness. Four of the beds are Tertiary Specialized Residential.

Braemore Lodge provides services to individuals who are experiencing significant functional impairment and require residential rehabilitation and recovery services. Tertiary services are provided to four designated beds for individuals who have lived in institutions for many years. Sixteen people live at Braemore Lodge, each with their own private room and bathroom facilities. The focus is rehabilitation and recovery to restore or develop each person’s ability to live a meaningful life. Principles of psychosocial rehabilitation are central to an empowerment and client‑centered approach at Braemore Lodge.

Cradled within tree‑rimmed mountain slopes, dramatic clay cliffs and bordered by the Okanagan and Skaha Lakes, Penticton is one of the larger cities in the BC interior and a popular destination for visitors of all kinds.
