A leading healthcare provider in Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Child Mental Health Inpatient department. The successful candidate will provide excellent patient care, manage mental health conditions, and collaborate with a team to ensure safety and high-quality health standards. A Diploma in Nursing and BCLS certification are required, along with strong counselling skills. This part-time position offers competitive compensation and requires working 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Your goal in this position is to provide excellent patient and family driven care, in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. You will do this by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of care providers, with an emphasis on the assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of patient health. You will take on the shared responsibility for ensuring that health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.
You’re a great relationship, have excellent counselling skills and foster close contacts with peers across the entire organization. You also have great interpersonal skills, and effortlessly connect with physicians, staff, patients, and families. You are competent to manage patients with a variety of mental health conditions. This position supports the hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation.
This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.
