A healthcare organization in Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care and collaborate with inter-professional teams. The ideal candidate will have current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and experience in nephrology or similar fields. The role requires working extended hours and rotating shifts to meet patient needs.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a regulated health care professional who adheres to and role models the Standards and Guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario; the SJHH mission, vision and values, policies and procedures; and applicable specialty standards. The RN provides patient/client-centred and evidence-informed care to promote health and assess the need for the provision of care and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitation means in order to attain or maintain optimal patient/client function. The RN collaborates with the inter-professional team and assumes a leadership role in delivering a full range of care and treatment to patients/clients including those with complex needs, high acuity and less predictable outcomes.
The successful applicant to this position will be cross trained in order to also be able to provide shift coverage to the established sister unit – Renal Transplant Unit. Tours on RTU will be scheduled in conjunction with successful applicant's Nephrology schedule and will be determined by the needs on both Nephrology and RTU and will include rotating shifts
Extended hours and rotating shifts. May be required at times to work on-site out of unit or offsite
