About The Job

The Registered Nurse:

  • Provides nursing care to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
  • Maintains and advances own clinical competence
  • Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned

There are multiple Relief Full Time opportunities with various end dates.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:15, 19:00 to 07:15 hours.

About this Location

Our Patient Services Tower has been completed and we have moved into our new Critical Care unit. The floor plan is 4 times the size of the vacated space with room to expand to 16 beds. The new space offers a large, bright working area with wide halls, and lots of storage areas with windows surrounding the whole unit. The new unit was designed to focus on the family unit as a whole being and the new ICU has three family areas; a waiting room, a quiet room and a family overnight room, the natural light and the private rooms make for a positive experience for patients and family members.
