Flexible and dependable, you can adapt to varying patient needs, including changes in medical acuity, shifts, and hospital protocols. You are comfortable implementing nursing processes into daily practice, establishing therapeutic relationships, and managing various medical procedures, including wound care and the insertion or management of tubes and lines. Your proficiency in collecting specimens for laboratory testing reflects your attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality care.
You possess technical proficiency but also a genuine interest in general internal medicine and cardiology. Successful team members demonstrate a commitment to continual professional growth and a strong desire to contribute to the education and development of their colleagues and students. A 24‑bed General Internal Medicine and Cardiology unit, catering to patients with a spectrum of conditions, from straightforward pneumonia diagnoses to intricate acute and chronic illnesses. General internal medicine and cardiology offers staff nurses opportunities to acquire specialized knowledge in the areas of respiratory medicine, cardiology, oncology and palliative care, pain management, geriatrics, wound and skin care.
