About the Role

Russell Tobin is actively hiring experienced Registered Nurses for an exciting opportunity to provide Care in stunning British Columbia. Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with acute medical or surgical conditions, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Perform detailed assessments, including vital signs, pain evaluation, and monitoring for changes in patient status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy, blood transfusions, and emergency interventions.
  • Monitor and manage complex equipment, such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, pharmacists) to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including code blue situations, and initiate life‑saving measures.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and self‑care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
  • Ensure infection control compliance and adhere to hospital safety protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Active RN license in good standing with the BCCNM.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in acute, community, or correctional health settings.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient-centered care and interprofessional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage risk and safety within a secure facility.
