A charitable organization in Calgary seeks a qualified healthcare professional for a casual position in hospice care. The role involves meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents while providing nursing care and collaborating with the Resident Attendant. Candidates must have current CRNA registration and CPR certification, along with preferred experience in palliative settings. This position offers variable shifts without fixed hours, targeting a competitive salary range based on qualifications.

1. Meets the biophysical, emotional and psychological needs of all residents; assists in meeting spiritual needs as appropriate.
2. Provides nursing care which is carefully planned, while monitoring the treatment regime and health status, to ensure resident safety & well-being.
3. Ensures the safety and the care of the hospice residents.
4. Works with the Resident Attendant by providing clinical expertise in determining the care for hospice residents.
5. Works with the Resident Attendant to complete designated cleaning tasks.
6. Participates in staff meetings, in-services, rounds, special projects.
7. Performs other related duties as directed and required.
Current CRNA Registration
Current CPR Certification
Prefer a minimum one-year experience caring for persons requiring physical, emotional, and spiritual support in a palliative setting.

This is a casual position with no fixed scheduled hours.
Variable shifts; Days/Nights (0650-1900 hours & 1850-0700 hours)
Target hiring range: $39.21- 51.46 basic rate @ April 1, 2023 (this rate does not include degree or LSPA)
The target hiring range for this position is $39.99 to $46.24 with a maximum of $52.49.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
