Regional Manager, Engineering

The successful applicant will be responsible for the performance of our forensic business lines, which include civil / structural assessments (structures, building envelope, building code compliance, etc.), fire and explosion investigations, collision reconstruction / biomechanical investigations, and materials / mechanical investigations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs is a must. Good presentation skills are an asset. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities
  • Responsible for P&L of Western Canada Engineering activities for all engineering services lines
  • Perform some measure of forensic engineering duties, including but not limited to, peer review, legal expert reports, scene examinations of complex files
  • Assist with business development and growth of our Western Canada market
  • Identification and recruitment of top industry talent in Western Canada
  • Committed to client satisfaction through open communication with all parties
  • Able to identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes to processes
  • Monitor and address deficiencies in KPIs to ensure personnel are meeting or exceeding our SLAs
Role Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience, with progressive management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferable; Professional Engineering License an asset
  • Experience in forensic investigations an asset
  • Experience within the insurance and legal industry is a must
  • A demonstrated track record of taking projects to successful completion
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook & Excel)
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of area of expertise
  • Positive, self-driven, motivated, personal attitude
  • A willingness and passion to support the marketing and sales department through attendance at presentations and industry events
  • Customer facing experience : Ability to discuss projects budgets with clients and maintain continuous communications throughout the project
  • The ability to climb, work at heights, and work in all temperatures is required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
