A government entity in Yukon is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Recreation professional in Whitehorse. The role involves providing recreation assessments, formulating therapy plans, and supervising assistants. Candidates should hold a Baccalaureate degree in therapeutic recreation and be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. This posting will be used to fill one (1) full-time (75 hours biweekly) casual vacancy until April 17, 2026 and one (1) full-time (75 hours biweekly) term vacancy until August 7, 2026. This posting will also establish a 12-month eligibility list which will be used to fill similar vacancies.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to provide therapeutic recreation assessments and formulate individualized and/or group therapy plans, treatment goals and objectives. You will facilitate the development, maintenance and expression of an appropriate leisure lifestyle to individuals with physical, mental, social and/or emotional impairment or limitations. You will also provide clinical direction to the Therapy Assistants/Recreation Therapy Assistants, and provide support to staff and volunteers.
