Job summary

A leading health institution is seeking an experienced radiographic technician to perform essential imaging tasks and patient care services. This full-time position offers a day shift with no weekend or call duty. The technician will work under the supervision of the RN and be responsible for various medical assistant activities. A valid Florida State Radiography License and ARRT registration are required, along with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24.95 to $39.92 based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiography program.
  • Must hold a Florida State Radiography License and be ARRT registered.
  • Possess current Basic Life Support certification.

Job description

At Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Outpatient Care – Tampa OCC, our caring professionals have years of experience in meeting the medical and rehabilitative needs of children of all ages, from infants through teens. They work together with community physicians in Hillsborough County and the surrounding areas to provide patient-centered care, making parents an important part of the health care team. Position Summary
  • Complete X-rays as well as perform medical assistant activities between patients, such as:
    • Vital signs
    • Collecting data on allergies, medications, and NPO status
    • Screen patients for metal
    • Point‑of‑care urine pregnancy and creatinine tests
    • Perform environment of care sweeps to be regulatory ready
    • Help manage supplies
  • Produce and evaluate radiological images to assist the radiologist in timely interpretation for patient treatment.
  • Adhere to image‑specific policies related to quality and safety established by Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and regulatory and accreditation governing bodies.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills required for determining technical factors for proper exposure levels.
  • Possess practical knowledge of various DR fixed and portable imaging equipment as well as computer skills including PACS and RIS.
  • Perform patient care tasks under the direction of RN as competency designates.

***Looking for an experienced rad tech, as this person is the only rad tech on site.

Location

Shift

Day Shift (Monday - Friday); 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM; No weekend work or call required.

Status

Full-Time (36 hours per week).

Salary Range

Minimum $24.95 per hour - Maximum $39.92 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
