Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Resource Therapist, the Nursing Assistant, Radiation Therapy (RT) is responsible for the efficient provision of reception and clerical support and assigned patient tasks for the Radiation Therapy Department.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Nursing Assistant, (RT) contributes to the care and comfort of patients, communication with patient family members as well as routine cleanliness of Radiation Therapy area.
The position involves physical activity such as lifting and transporting patients, samples and equipment.
Patient confidentiality is to be maintained at all times according to CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) policy and Personal Health Information Act (PHIA).
