What you can expect to do here:
- Support Analysts and Engineers in performing quality analysis and control for Rail & Transit projects and proposals.
- Lead the development and maintenance of a Transportation Systems Quality Management System and support ISO 9001:2015 certification.
- Develop QMP and procedures for major projects in compliance with contract and ISO standards.
- Review project management plans including safety, quality, risk, and communication plans from a rail systems perspective.
- Monitor quality activities and liaise with client’s Quality representatives.
- Lead project audits, including quality, financial, risk, and KPIs analysis.
- Develop procedures for Transportation Systems Quality Assurance.
- Train teams on QMS, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement.
- Coordinate resolution of technical issues with stakeholders to ensure standards are met.
- Manage nonconformance reports, change orders, and safety procedures.
- Address customer complaints and project performance issues.
- Travel as needed to support projects and client needs.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- University degree in Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
- Recognized quality assurance/control certification.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Rail Systems projects with relevant standards.
- Internal or Lead Auditor certification.
- Experience in Rail & Transit or similar fields.
- PMP certification and/or P.Eng license are advantageous.
- Experience in consulting engineering environment.
- Deep knowledge of Rail Systems QA/QC principles, methods, and documentation.
- Technical leadership and management skills.
- Understanding of Rail Systems Engineering concepts and project phases.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
