Responsibilities
  • Serve as member of project team that assists in development of project‑specific Quality Management Plans and works in close cooperation with the Project Manager and Task Leads for monitoring and oversight of project quality activities
  • Monitor QM needs for project/program
  • Work with Program/Project Managers to assess and incorporate lessons learned and client feedback from project reviews and client meetings
  • Work with the Project Manager in development of project‑specific QMPs and verify that QMP is current and up to date
  • Report production risk areas to the Program/Project Manager and Regional Quality Director
  • Provide internal and external project reporting on quality‑related activities, issues and corrective actions
  • Verify adequacy of internal quality reviews
  • Establish project quality processes and monitor implementation and effectiveness of those processes
  • Monitor implementation of company standards and practices as appropriate
  • Effectively implement and use company, client or regulatory document management expectations
  • Manage quality deliverable schedule, and ensure coordination between design discipline reviews
  • Manage design review and comment resolution process (schedule meetings with reviewers, negotiate mutually acceptable resolutions, elevate disputed issues, and track open comments to closure)
  • Assist in identifying and documenting issues that may cause or contribute to deviations from planned/expected outcomes and develop corrective action plans to address issues
  • Oversee sub‑consultant quality activities and deliverable review
  • Conduct conformity reviews in accordance with QMS
  • Train project/program staff on QMP/PMP requirements
  • Verify that project teams have team members with right experience and capability
  • Lead QA/QC‑related discussions during project team meetings
  • Provide mentoring through regularly scheduled conformance reviews
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of architecture and construction industry
  • Able to work at our Richmond location 2 days/week
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6 years in similar consulting industry and a minimum of 5 years in specific technical area covered
  • Deep understanding of QMS fundamentals
  • Proven skills in the areas of Project Management and/or Quality Management projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication with investigative interview experience and project QM software systems
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
