The Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in packaging solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager to lead and inspire their quality team, ensuring the highest standards of product excellence. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will have the opportunity to shape the quality strategy, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure that products consistently meet or exceed both internal and customer expectations. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and collaboration across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As the Quality Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the Quality Management System, guiding your team to deliver exceptional results. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the quality department, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership and manufacturing teams to ensure quality and manufacturing processes are aligned and metrics are met.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, policies, and procedures that drive compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Managing customer complaints and product rejects, conducting thorough root cause analyses, and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring readiness for all quality and food safety inspections.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality and food safety metrics, and developing proactive solutions to address gaps or trends.
  • Working closely with production teams to ensure consistent product conformance through process monitoring and control methods.
  • Engaging with customers and suppliers when necessary to ensure product quality standards are upheld.
  • Taking on additional projects and initiatives to support the growth and success of the organization.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline preferred, plus 5+ years of leadership experience in Quality/Manufacturing (or 10+ years of relevant experience).
  • Solid understanding of quality systems and standards, including ISO 9001, GMP, and GFSI, with prior audit experience.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills to drive fact-based decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop team members effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality processes and manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional time management, organization, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, able to engage with executive leadership, teams, and clients confidently.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and polished professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience in the packaging or plastics industry is highly desirable and would be considered an asset.
