Overview

Adecco is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for a reputable client in Etobicoke, ON, within the Manufacturing industry. This temporary to possibly permanent role is ideal for someone with a science background and at least 1 year of lab or manufacturing experience.

Pay rate: $22 / hour.

Location: Etobicoke, ON

Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Job type: Temporary to possibly permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities
  • Run QC assays for reagents and consumables according to protocols
  • Record detailed assay information including lot numbers, expiration dates, and acceptance criteria
  • Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration and cleanliness
  • Keep a well-organized and clean laboratory workspace
  • Maintain sufficient inventory of reagents and consumables
  • Process assay results and apply basic statistical analysis
  • Generate Cartridge Certificate of Analysis
  • Participate in pipetting, data entry, and computer-based tasks daily
  • Lift and move objects (10-25 lbs.) and navigate the laboratory space frequently
Requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
  • 1+ year of experience in a Manufacturing or lab-based role
  • Strong laboratory skills and knowledge of scientific terminology
  • Proficient in MS Excel (large datasets), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with LIMS systems is an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Basic understanding of statistics
  • BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred
