Airswift is seeking a QA Auditor to work with one of our O&G clients in Calgary, AB, on a 1-year contract.
Key Accountabilities:
- Planning, scheduling, and conducting audit activities in compliance with Company QA auditing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Initiating and maintaining effective communication with auditees, sponsors, and technical authorities.
- Ensuring all documentation related to the audit scope (e.g., checklists, criteria, references, notification letters, plans/agenda) are current and complete.
- Investigating compliance levels with reference documents and assessing relevant risks.
- Identifying deviations and findings, preparing Non-Compliance Reports, and following up to close these reports.
- Documenting audit processes and findings through comprehensive Audit Reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
- An engineering degree, preferably registered or eligible for registration with APEGA, with experience in Oil & Gas industries. Degrees in Mechanical, Materials, Welding, or Industrial Engineering are assets.
- At least 10 years of experience in Projects or In-service Quality Assurance, focusing on conducting and managing Quality Systems audits.
- Lead Auditor certification in QMS, OHS, or EMS (preferably QMS), registered with reputable international organizations (e.g., IRCA, Exemplar Global) is an asset.
- Knowledge and certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green/Black Belt) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (ISO, CSA, API, ASME, Alberta Safety Codes Act - ABSA) and their application.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) with a keen eye for detail.
Additional Information:
- This is a Calgary-based position with regular travel within Canada and the US.
- The contract is extendable based on workload and performance.
- Work hours are 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, except during summers when it is 4 days/week.
