In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing events that promote the journal, build community, and highlight academic work. From brainstorming ideas to coordinating logistics, you’ll ensure our events run smoothly and leave a lasting impact on attendees.

Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with both students and faculty. Strong communication and project management skills are key, as well as an interest in fostering academic dialogue through engaging events.

  • Brainstorm, plan, and manage events related to the journal, including panels, workshops, and the annual issue launch party
  • Handle logistics and scheduling, including booking venues, managing budgets, and coordinating event materials
  • Communicate with confirmed speakers, professors, and participants, providing them with all final event details

  • Create post-event “care packages” (summaries, resources, and highlights) for those who could not attend
  • Work with the editorial team to ensure events align with the journal’s mission and timeline
  • Promote events in collaboration with the marketing/publicity team to ensure strong attendance
  • Evaluate event success and suggest improvements for future programming
