A leading health service provider in High River is seeking a Public Health Inspector I. This role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive environmental public health program, preventing health hazards, and supporting community wellness through inspections and consultations. The position requires a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, a certificate in Public Health Inspection, and active membership with CIPHI. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to public health and environmental safety.
As a Public Health Inspector I and appointed Executive Officer under the authority of the Public Health Act, you will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive environmental public health program within an assigned geographical area. You will perform work duties in the interest of prevention, correcting or limiting the effects of environmental health hazards, whether physical, chemical or biological in nature, which may adversely affect the health of individuals or communities. You will support individual and community wellness through monitoring inspections, disease surveillance, consultation and enforcement of the Public Health Act and regulations within safe food, safe drinking water, safe recreational water, safe built environment and healthy environments.
