Recognized throughout Southwestern Ontario as a leader in children’s (birth-14 years) mental health, Vanier Children’s Mental Wellness provides innovative treatment programs and services for children experiencing emotional and behavioural challenges. For over 50 years, Vanier's mission has been to improve the lives of infants, children, youth, and their families through high-quality mental health services, emphasizing clinical excellence, collaboration, and system leadership. Vanier is appointed by the Ontario Government as the “Lead Agency for Child/Youth Mental Health (CYMH) System Management” in London-Middlesex (2014) and is responsible for community-wide Child/Youth Mental Health System Planning.
This role involves providing a full range of diagnostic, assessment, consultation, therapeutic counseling, and treatment services for children and their families. It includes performing licensed acts as permitted by the College of Psychologists of Ontario under the Regulated Health Professionals Act and Psychology Act. The primary focus is to conduct psychological assessments and offer consultation to teams regarding clients and programs, as directed by the Manager.
