Their housing support services focus on helping people transition from crisis into safe, stable homes while addressing the root causes of housing instability.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for Adsum’s property portfolio, including units owned by and leased to the organization.
  • Assist the Property Manager with lease preparation, renewals, terminations, and record keeping using Yardi Breeze software.
  • Manage rent collection processes, track arrears, and work with tenants and their support workers to develop repayment plans.
  • Maintain tenant records, generate reports, and ensure all data is accurate and accessible to staff.
  • Coordinate property showings for prospective tenants.
  • Oversee logistics for move-ins, including maintaining a stock of move-in kits and placing furniture orders in consultation with housing support workers.
  • Arrange delivery and set-up of furniture, liaising with staff to ensure smooth transitions for families.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a non-profit or property management setting.
  • Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with property management software (Yardi experience is an asset).
  • Experience in logistics coordination, inventory management, or administrative support.
  • Knowledge of Nova Scotia’s Residential Tenancies Act and an understanding of housing insecurity is an asset.
