What You'll Do
  1. Assist in developing all system engineering concepts and reports.
  2. Review and manage design budgets; interpret and manage existing installation impacts.
  3. Prepare calculations and select equipment, delegating tasks as appropriate.
  4. Coordinate documents with project team members.
  5. Review all project deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
  6. Enforce company standards on project administration and documentation.
  7. Act as contract administrator for designated projects when required.
  8. Ensure timely shop drawing reviews and coordinate with contract administration.
  9. Prepare and review change notices and ensure tasks are completed within scope and hours.
  10. Respond to technical and financial queries.
  11. Update leadership on scope changes and prepare contract amendments.
  12. Support accounts receivable processes.
  13. Liaise with external consultants and vendors.
  14. Organize and attend meetings, including delivering client presentations.
Who You Are
  • Five or more years of project engineering experience in mechanical building services.
  • Current P.Eng. or eligible within one year; C.E.T. with equivalent experience considered.
  • Advanced knowledge of provincial building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
  • Understanding of codes, standards, and project procurement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.
  • Experience working with consultants and contractors on major projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Nice to Have
  • LEED certification or experience with sustainable design projects.
