Role Overview

We're hiring a Project Manager to lead the Engineering and Project groups within a growing transformer division. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the technical and operational execution of complex transformer-related projects while acting as a key liaison across internal and external teams. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering, solid project management capabilities, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee engineering and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of transformer projects
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and communication across departments
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, reporting progress to executive leadership and clients
  • Review technical specifications and ensure engineering solutions align with project goals
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry codes, and quality protocols
  • Facilitate site visits, client meetings, and coordination with external vendors as needed
  • Identify project risks and actively manage mitigation strategies
Qualifications
Required
  • Must be based in Canada
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3–5+ years of project management experience in an engineering or technical environment
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel across Canada and the U.S.
Preferred
  • Prior experience working with transformers or substation equipment
  • PMP certification or formal project management training
  • Experience managing remote technical teams
