Qualifications

As we embark on the ramp-up phase of our North American operations and beyond, we are seeking a reliable and proactive Project Manager to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in coordinating various aspects of project management, including planning, time schedule, budgeting & cost management, risk management, reporting and quality control, and other project-related tasks as assigned, collaborating closely with project managers and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the PMO Manager in delivering an international full-sized battery cell factory project by developing, maintaining, and tracking project plans, schedules, milestones, and timelines, ensuring alignment with objectives, resources, and deadlines.
  • Lead the scheduling process, including milestone tracking, data updates, and cross-functional coordination to adjust plans based on evolving needs, fostering accountability and transparency.
  • Manage project financials, including investment planning, budgeting, expense tracking, forecasting, and cost control, ensuring alignment with financial guidelines and enabling informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and documentation for executives, financial committees, and stakeholders, highlighting project progress, risks, and recommendations.
  • Identify and address risks, issues, and scheduling challenges through proactive risk management, contingency planning, and solution implementation.
  • Develop, refine, and implement project management tools, templates, and standardized processes, driving consistency, efficiency, and best-practice adoption across project teams.
  • Facilitate effective stakeholder engagement by building strong relationships, acting as a central point of contact, providing regular updates, and promoting collaboration across teams.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and organizational effectiveness.
  • Perform additional tasks relevant to the role to contribute to the overall success of the project and organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in project management with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, interdisciplinary projects.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, CSM) highly desirable; in-depth knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and software, including proficiency in Oracle Primavera.
  • Strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management skills, with the ability to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strategic and pragmatic thinker with a strong commitment to achieving project objectives and delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong collaborative, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in intercultural environments.
  • Highly self-motivated, structured, results-oriented, and adaptable to both independent and team-based work environments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate European time zones, with occasional travel within Ontario and internationally (~10%), and ability to work overtime when necessary to meet ramp-up deadlines.
