Clark Builders is hiring Project Managers. Working out of the Calgary office, the Project Managers will manage projects across all our regions of work. These roles are highly accountable and responsible for all aspects associated with the successful execution and delivery of our projects safely, within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You must have the highest respect for people, lead the implementation of measurable lean practices, and demonstrate a proven track record of achieving successful project delivery according to specified conditions of satisfaction.
Reporting to: Director, Operations or Project Executive
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, build, and develop operations talent and cultural management, supporting Clark Builders as the best place to learn, work, and thrive.
- Ensure achievement of operational standards and processes, promoting operational efficiency, consistency, & excellence.
- Provide elevated client care and services to ensure maximum value to clients.
- Develop strategies to deliver and drive results on project performance goals and conditions of satisfaction.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and a lean culture through best practices, training, and staff development.
- Oversee project startup activities, including finalizing prime contracts, conducting startup meetings, and preparing project execution plans, resource and staffing plans, and procurement management.
- Manage project execution and document control responsibilities, including RFIs, SIs, submittals, change requests, and change orders.
- Develop and implement financial management strategies for projects.
- Manage safety, quality control, and communication plans.
- Create and manage project schedules.
- Chair meetings, issue minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Track productivity and project performance.
- Manage stakeholder expectations.
- Handle project close-out activities, including training, inspections, turnover, and warranties.
- Support and grow relationships with subcontractors and clients.
- Participate in project interviews and leadership development/training for project teams.
Skills and Knowledge:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a construction-related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience managing construction projects in commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings.
- Experience with various types of construction contracts.
- Experience managing the entire construction process from startup to closeout on projects of various sizes and complexities.
- Understanding of Lean principles, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Last Planner System and Procore software is an asset.
