The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. Reporting to the Manager, Project Engineering, we are looking for a Project Engineer to provide engineering support for transmission projects, system and customer connection projects from transmission facility design, power system modeling, metering, advanced power system studies, and cost estimate perspective.
In this position, you will play a critical role in transmission projects in the development of AESO functional specification, facility scopes, and the review/creation of PDUPs (modeling information). You will bring a solid understanding of the power system including transmission, distribution, and generation. You will also work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and actively participate in technical discussions and initiatives.
