Overview

Project Coordinator

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Project Coordinator for a 4-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 2x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON.
Key Tasks
  • Works with the Project Management Office to develop project schedules and milestones for smaller projects.
  • Tracks pending submissions and assesses for completeness in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinates meetings and leads follow-up with participants as well as partners and customers to ensure deliverables are on time.
  • Accurately completes data entry on assigned projects to ensure the quality of the data and formats technical documents to ensure compliance with templates and document management principles (i.e., redaction and security).
  • Works with the Project Management Office to coordinate external resourcing (may include expert and contracting support) as required.
  • Acts as a backup to the project coordinator within the Project Management Office as needed.
Key Qualifications
  • Demonstrated time management impartation skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills using the Microsoft suite of tools specifically project, SharePoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly experienced in the application of project management principles in the implementation of best practices.
Qualifications
  • This position requires a college diploma in business or a related field and 2 or more years of experience supporting project management (gathering information and updating project data; maintaining project forms, templates, and tools; producing project reports; supporting project managers).
  • Specific requirements also include:
  • Advanced computer skills using the Microsoft Suite of tools, specifically Project, SharePoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the application of project management principles and the implementation of best practices.
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling sensitive situations and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Professionalism and interpersonal skills needed to communicate (orally and written) effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Assets
  • Fluency in French
  • Completion of project management courses
  • CAPM accreditation or working toward accreditation
  • Related experience with a not-for-profit health research organization
