Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the nuclear energy team at an industrial automation client. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment and be proficient in computerized systems like Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities include supervising a reporting team and assisting project managers with scheduling and cost management. This is an onsite role in Cambridge, ON, with a contract of 12 months.

Role: Project Coordinator

Rate: $35-$40/hr

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Coordinator to join the nuclear energy team at a top industrial automation client on a contract basis. This candidate is responsible to provide leadership and strategic scheduling, cost management, and cost/schedule integration in support of managing projects from proposal development to closeout. They will be responsible for supervising a team providing reporting, data management, output distribution, process monitoring and job scheduling. They will be the right hand supporting project managers with project controls activities on assigned projects, this includes but is not limited to forecasting, schedule management, managing cost and schedule changes, supporting gate strategies, preparation, and approval.

Required Skills and Experience
  • 1-3 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with computerized database systems such as Microsoft Excel/project
  • An understanding of common business practices relating to materials management, production control, logistics and procurement is essential
  • Strong communicator comfortable with coordinating internal teams and working directly with customers
