A community support organization in Port Alberni is seeking a Program Supervisor to oversee the daily operations and support the program for individuals with diverse abilities. The ideal candidate has experience in program development, staff supervision, and community engagement. They will be responsible for training staff, ensuring program standards are met, and promoting public awareness. This full-time role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering inclusion and support for all participants.

Taproot in Port Alberni provides individualized 24-hour support for children/youth and adults with a variety of specialized and/or complex needs.

The Program Supervisor position will oversee the day to day operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, adhere to program policies, guidelines and best practices, and meet program standards and licensing requirements. The Program Supervisor will assist with recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and monitoring. In addition to completing supervision tasks, supporting contractors as required, managing the program budgets, allocation of funds and on-call processes. This position reports to the Program Manager.
One (1) Permanent Full-Time position working 40 hours per week.
Successful applicants will be required to participate in MCFD screening prior to confirmed employment with Taproot.
