CBDC Southwest is looking for a Program Officer to provide client services to people looking to start a business and apply for assistance through our various programs. Your contribution will be significant in the lives of your clients, most of which are currently either unemployed or on Employment Insurance. You will play a key role in helping startup entrepreneurs each year, as they begin their journey. CBDC Southwest is proud of the success experienced by its clients and is looking for someone to help ensure the continuation of that success.

Your contribution will be pivotal to the success of countless entrepreneurs. The position is not necessarily an easy one. You will be responsible for assessing business plans, judging applicants, and making recommendations. You will also be expected to keep well-organized files and up to date paperwork on all your clients.

Education, Experience & Responsibilities

To be successful, you must be professional, straightforward and a tactful communicator, display good judgment of people, self-motivated, organized, and able to do public speaking to groups both small and large.

We are looking for someone with a university degree in Business Administration, accounting, or related field, with a minimum of one (1) years’ experience. A solid understanding of financial statements and excellent communication skills in English is required. The ability to communicate in French would be considered an asset. This position is a term contract until March 31, 2027, with possibility of renewal. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

As Program Officer, your work will take you into the field most days meeting with clients, networking and expanding the reach of CBDC Southwest. You will cover four counties, so a reliable vehicle is necessary. The CBDC Southwest offices are located in Hanwell, NB.
