Dumont Technical Institute, a division of the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, invites applications for the following position:

Program Coordinator 2 – Saskatoon

Competition Code: 2602 200S Feb 16

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Director, the Program Coordinator 2 position will be responsible for: the implementation, coordination and administration of certificate and diploma programs (Continuing Care Assistant, Practical Nursing, Office Administration, Early Childhood Education and Mental Health & Wellness); plan, develop and implement Adult Education Programs (Essential Skills, ABE level 3 & 4) along with trades training programs; recruit and advertise for qualified students as well as instructors; coordination of practicum placements; prepare and oversee budgets, contracts and service agreements; coordination of on-site student supports and responding to program related inquiries; ensure program delivery supports and resources are in place including accurate completion and submission of student documentation; represent DTI in meetings, prepare reports and program updates; perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications:

The candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, or Social Science; as well as 3 – 5 years experience in administration of post-secondary education and skills training programs. Proficiency in Microsoft office and project management knowledge. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations. Thorough knowledge of Métis culture and Indigenous education frameworks. Travel within Saskatchewan is a requirement.

Remuneration: A Competitive Salary and Benefits Package

Term: March 1, 2026 to February 28, 2027 (Possibility of extension)
Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
